Our Founder Chairman, Mr. Hassan Ali Ibrahim Al Balooshi, was the star player for the UAE national team when it clinched its first Gulf Cup in 2007. His historic 25-yard goal for Al-Ahli playing against AC Milan is still talked about today. He had a remarkable career playing for all the major football clubs in the Middle East. He even had the privilege to train under one of football’s greatest stars, Diego Maradona and the celebrated player and coach, Bruno Metsu.
Mr. Hassan started off his football career as a midfielder with one of the best clubs in UAE, Dubai’s Al Ahli club playing as a midfielder in 2001. His impressive talents helped Al-Ahli win many matches during his decade-long stint there.
Mr. Hassan was selected for the U.A.E. national team in 2004 after the selectors were impressed by his explosive movement in the midfield. His remarkable talent in scoring early goals and ending the matches with his charismatic equaliser last-minute goals always made the crowds jump with euphoric joy.
Mr. Hassan was one of the talented players most sought after by the football clubs of the Gulf region. He was wooed away by the Al Wasl club who was managed by the great Diego Maradona in 2011. He later on played for Emirates club, Al Ittihad Kalba, and the Hatta club.
